Ecofeminism derives from the understanding of ecology with connection to feminism. The study of ecology began a few decades ago and has since expanded to encompass other disciplines and fields. Literature is among these. In current literary studies, the feminist perspective of the eco-system has been accorded enormous importance. This paper explores the idea of ecofeminism, its dynamics and the nuances in the poetry of Rukhsana Preet: “Toon Jo Pacho Chandd Jo”. As a female poetess and feminist author, Rukhsana Preet combines various ecological and natural aspects and phenomena, such as fertility, happiness, and a range of moods and beauty, into her poetry. The interplay of nature and female existence are expressions of various sceneries that need to be understood and accepted. Thus, if someone wants to experience the essence of beauty in ecosystem, one needs to immerse into physical and metaphysical world. To love a human or beloved is analogous to love a natural world and its ecosystem.
