Abstract

When Sheikh Ayaz was busy in writing modern and very popular lyrics here in Sindh, and Naraen Shiyam there in India. M. Kamal found his new path in poetry writing with different diction and expression.

At that time, none of any poet was free in order to come out from the poetic impact of Ayaz and Shiyam but M.Kamal did so.

In his second book of poetry named “Roshan Rahoon, Dundhla Maag” he recognized himself very new voice of modern poetry, through that book he foundation of his own way and style in poetry writing.

In the end of that book, he wrote a note on new lyrics, what he chosen for self. In that note he discussed comprehensively and made clear the features of new ”غزل“ lyrics.

More ever, he wrote in that note, that, “the feeling of today’s age is material, machnical and full with fear, and people are facing uncertainty, loneliness, alienation and sense of helplessness.

He brought new sprit of life. His “ghazal” changed the atmosphere of poetry.

In this article, the scholar tried to draw an image of M.Kamal, as the poet, along with his new and un-touched thoughts, he introduces in his poetry.
