Abstract

Ali Baba has a distinguishable literary status and place in the world of fiction in Sindhi language. This research paper focuses on the stories of Ali Baba in the Sindhi language and literature. It aims to highlight Ali Baba's significant role in the world of fiction. The paper discusses how Ali Baba, through novels, stories, and dramas, has contributed to the preservation of the history and civilization of Sindh. Specifically, in the novel 'Mohen Jo Daro,' Ali Baba has played a crucial role in preserving and transmitting ancient lexicons and linguistic qualities of the Sindhi language. Most of the stories produced by Ali Baba reveal subjective, abstract, imaginary, and historical patterns and aspects. The paper emphasizes that Ali Baba's portrayal of the glorious identity of Sindh brings to the forefront its historical significance, epics, narratives, and magnificent traditions. Furthermore, by doing so, he seems to introduce it to readers. In the same breath, the paper discusses the characterization presented in different stories of Ali Baba.
