This paper explores the definition, origin and evolution of the Novel. It focuses particularly on the influence of Romanticism within the Sindhi Novel. The novel emerged in eighteenth century in Europe as a modern genre. It Shifted away from the supernatural elements of ancient epics and tales. Instead, it began capturing the social and psychological realities of the common man. The study references global figures like Victor Hugo, Leo Tolstoy and Jane Austen. It Examines how their intellectual legacies shaped Sindhi Literature. A major portion of the research evaluates Romanticism in the post-1947 Sindhi novel. During this era, the movement evolved beyond idealized love. It began to encompass nationalism, historical consciousness and individual liberty. The study traces the genre from Mirza Kalich Beg’s Dilaram to Agha Saleem’s Ondahi Dharti, Roshan Hath. It also includes the existentialist works of Maanick. The findings show that Sindhi novelists did not use Romanticism for escapism. They used as a medium for social realism. It served as a rebellion against outdated norms and an assertion of national identity.
